Leon County, FL- A Leon County man was sentenced to sixty years in prison for an alcohol-impaired crash that killed three Florida State University Students in 2015.

A judge sentenced Stanley Jaboin, 30, to sixty years in jail for killing three people in a DUI accident in 2015.

The Tallahassee Democrat reports that the crash occurred September 6, 2015, on Pensacola Street. According to the paper, Jaboin was traveling over 100 mph when he slammed into a car making a left turn onto White Avenue.

Jaboin then fled the scene and called his wife, the Tallahassee Democrat reports. He then returned to the scene and was arrested. After the crash, Jaboin’s blood alcohol concentration was almost three times the legal.

During the hearing, Jaboin apologized to his victims but also pinned the blame for the crash on the man driving the car carrying the three students. He said the accident would have never happened if the driver of the other car hadn’t made a left turn in his path.
