Chicago, IL – A woman has been charged with the death of her passenger after a recent drunk driving accident in Chicago.

The Chicago Sun Times reports that Tracey Fellows, age 35, is responsible for a recent Chicago drunk driving accident that ended up killing her passenger. Chief Mario DePasquale states that she was charged with aggravated DUI in a car crash that caused death.

At the time of the drunk driving accident, Fellows was heading west in her husband’s borrowed sports car on 47th Street when she suddenly lost control of her car, causing her to barrel towards oncoming traffic and finally hit a vehicle that was heading east.

Prior to the fatal drunk driving accident, La Grange Patch reports Fellows was cut off at her first bar after downing five double Bacardi cocktails. She then immediately headed to the Hall of Fame Sports Bar and Grill where she met up with her future passenger, Joe Roe, age 37. Surveillance shows Fellows tripping over herself while giving the bouncer her driver’s license.

Witnesses recall Fellows’ car fishtailing and weaving through traffic on 47th Street. Her vehicle then ran over the median and struck an SUV driven by a 40-year-old mother with her three children. Luckily, the family of four only suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Roe, on the other hand, was not so lucky. He was found in the passenger seat with his seatbelt still on with serious injuries. Witnesses to the Chicago drunk driving accident waited with him until first responders arrived at the scene. Fellows was found in the street about 15 feet from where the car crash happened.

Roe was transported to Loyola University Medical Center. He died six days later, with an autopsy revealing he passed away from numerous injuries from the drunk driving crash. His death was reported to be an accident.
